Registered Basset Hounds
Soggy Bottom Hounds is located in beautiful North Alabama surrounded by mountains along the Tennessee River. All of our Bassets live in our home and are socialized with on a daily basis. Our Bassets are on a monthly heartworm preventative as well as a flea control program. We take great pride in keeping our Bassets healthy and content. Our Bassets are not only family companions they are working dogs as well. We enjoy taking our Bassets out in the field to let them do what they were bred for --- run rabbits.
Basset Hounds are not the only hounds we own. We also own Coonhounds. We have a young Redtick Coonhound that we call "The Ugly Basset" as she thinks she is a Basset.
Soggy Bottom Hounds strives to produce multi-purpose Bassets for quality, type, temperament, and soundness. Our Bassets make excellent pets, family companions and hunting partners. Our Basset puppies are raised with utmost care, well socialized around children and animals, and taught manners from a young age.
Soggy Bottom Hounds is not a puppy mill -- that means we do not breed our bitches every heat cycle and have 3 or 4 litters at any given time. When we plan a cross, we will post the planned cross as well as litter announcement on our Puppies page. Our puppies are raised in our home and are socialized every day.
